Beginners Kendo Class

Beginner Kendo Classes  - ages 10+  and kids class

Please sign up for beginner kendo classes and email us at camaskendo@gmail.com.  While we do not always offer beginner classes every quarter, your interest may change when we offer the next class.  Class availability is also dependent on sensei availability and number of current students.  Please inquire for further details or updates.  

Our next beginner series will be split between kids/parent (40 min) and adults/youth (60min).  If space is available, we plan to have class starting  mid October.  Currently 12 beginners plan to continue kendo as of April.  Please sign up on our waiting list if interested.    

Our last beginner class went from November until January, then extended until the end of March 2023 through Camas Community Education

Beginner Kendo Classes  - ages 9 and under kids class

We plan to start another kids class when we have enough interest from the community.  This age group requires the ability to concentrate and interest.  Key to learning kendo is highly dependent on parent support and encouragement. 

*Parents must be present during class.  Surprisingly we have had several parents start kendo as a result!

Focus: basics (footwork/manners/swing), discipline, respect, friendship, and culture through the way of the sword.

Mask optional. No armor needed... yet!
